Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers..

On August 29, 2023, Andrew Hack, a member of the Board of Directors of Dynavax Technologies Corporation (the “Company”), tendered his resignation from the Board of Directors of the Company, effective August 30, 2023. Dr. Hack also served as a member of the Company’s Audit Committee. Dr. Hack’s decision to resign was not the result of any dispute or disagreement with the Company.
